About Us
Background
Because of the social economic-problems that were prevailing in the area local leaders, e.g LC III Chairperson, LC11, LC1, Religious leaders well wishers, developed an idea of establishing an institute/micro finance, through which they could mobolize resources from the community, put them into different business ventures, through providing affordable loans to members in order to boost their businesses. Additionally in order to promote government policy i.e.(poverty alleviation to the economically active poor, through micro finance in the area. (Sub-county). Therefore, the idea of establishing Kyazanga Kwegatta MFI took its course. Around November 2004, a meeting was held and the interim executive was elected, that included among others;

Pricing
The MFI has the following charges through providing its services
- Interest rate of 3% per month i.e 36% p.a
- Share value of 10,000/= per share
- Loan application fees of 1,000/=
- Membership fees of 5,000/=
- Loan file fees of 1,000/=
- Loan processing fees of 0.5%
- Loan commitment fees of 2%
- Penality on default of 0.5%
- Insurance fees 2%
